In memory

In Memory of Freddie Jackson

Freddie Jackson was a cherished friend of this magazine. He believed in it, he stood by it, and he let us tell his story. Two of his songs are below — play either one, or both.

On the shelf

At Magazine Cafe — the biggest magazine store in the USA

Oasis Montagé sits on the rack at Magazine Cafe, among more than thirteen thousand titles, on West 37th Street in Manhattan. That is the publisher herself, pointing at her own issue on the shelf.

If you would rather order straight from Clarice, you can — or find the magazine at a newsstand closer to you.

A magazine for the whole of a life

When I started Oasis Montagé I wanted one place a reader could go and find everything that matters to them — the fashion, the music, the art, the health questions we whisper about, the beauty counters we love, and the faith that carries us. A quarterly gives us the time to do it properly. Nothing in these pages is filler.

Every issue puts someone on the cover who has a story worth sitting with, and then fills the pages around them with the people in our own communities: the new author, the gospel quartet, the stylist, the doctor. We have been at this for a while now, and the shelf behind me keeps growing.

If you have never read us, start with the current issue. If you have, you already know what to do.

Own every issue — in print or on screen

Two ways to keep Oasis Montagé: the printed issues mailed to your door, or every issue opened on your screen in the Reading Room. A screen edition is read there with the email you paid with, page by page, on the site — nothing is downloaded and nothing is posted.

In print · mailed to your door

  • Single Issue

    Single issue

A printed order can take 5 to 10 days to arrive.

  • One Year Subscription

    Annual subscription

    $38.99a year

Four issues a year, one each quarter, mailed to your door — beginning with the current issue. A quarterly gives a writer room to tell a story properly and a photographer room to make a portrait worth keeping.

Postage · ticked at the buy button

Read it on screen

No paper · no postage

The same magazine, opened on your own screen in the Reading Room, kept for you afterwards, with nothing to wait for in the mail. One issue on screen is the current issue; the year is every issue, back to the Premiere Issue of 2010.

Nothing is downloaded and nothing is posted — the issue opens on screen.

  • Virtual · a year

    $19.50a year

Every issue on screen for twelve months, read in the Reading Room on this site — the current issue and the whole shelf of back issues with it. After you pay, sign in at the Reading Room with the email you paid with. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is posted.

The current issue only. The year is how you get the whole shelf.

Reading on screen happens in the Reading Room, signed in with the email you paid with — no password, and nothing to download. Your access never expires; if the emailed sign-in link runs out, ask for a fresh one any time.

Just new issues. We never pass your email to anyone else.
