About
A magazine for the global community
The Nation's #1 Magazine for the Global Community. Oasis Montagé is a quarterly lifestyle magazine — one issue for each season, and every one of them built to be kept.

What Oasis Montagé is
Oasis Montagé takes you on a journey through fashion, arts, entertainment, health, beauty, faith and news. It is a lifestyle magazine in the truest sense: it assumes you have a whole life, not one interest, and that the same reader who wants the fall fashion pages also wants the gospel quartets and the health story nobody else will print.
We publish quarterly, which is slower than the internet and on purpose. A quarterly gives a writer room to tell a story properly and a photographer room to make a portrait worth keeping. Our covers have featured Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, President Barack Obama, Sir Pastor Jamal Bryant, Teddy Riley, Michael St. John and Freddie Jackson — people whose work shaped the culture our readers live in.
Alongside the covers, every issue makes room for the people who are not famous yet: the new author, the neighborhood doctor, the stylist, the choir director, the entrepreneur with a story worth telling. That mix is the whole idea.

Our publisher, Clarice Carolyn Herring Jones.
In motion
What a new issue looks like out in the world
Three short films from our contributors — a cover story held up in a bookstore aisle, a reader showing the Summer issue off at a convention, and the Fall issue out on the road. Press play.
In a bookstore
A cover story in the making
The Fall issue, held up in a bookstore aisle with the man whose story is inside it.
At a convention
Readers sharing the newest issue
On the floor of a convention hall, showing the Summer cover to everyone who stops.
On the road
Word of mouth, the old-fashioned way
Out with the Fall issue, telling a room what is between the covers.
Seven standing sections
Every issue, every department

The publisher
Clarice Carolyn Herring Jones
Clarice Carolyn Herring Jones founded Oasis Montagé and still publishes every issue of it — commissioning the covers, editing the copy, choosing the photographs and answering the phone when a reader calls. She built the magazine on a simple belief: that a community deserves a publication that takes it seriously, and that the culture our readers made belongs on a cover as much as anybody else's.
Under her, Oasis Montagé has put artists, pastors, athletes and entertainers on the cover and given equal weight to the readers' own neighborhoods — and it has kept publishing, quarter after quarter, which is the hardest thing of all.
